TRT in the Philippines for Expats and Retirees
TRT in Makati and BGC
TRT in Makati and Bonifacio Global City: listed clinics, telehealth options, where to get your testosterone tested and what the labs cost.
Makati and Bonifacio Global City (BGC) are the best-served part of the Philippines for testosterone replacement therapy (TRT). Within a few kilometres you have men's health clinics, some of the country's largest private hospitals, branches of every major lab chain, and pharmacies that stock the registered forms of testosterone. For expats working in Manila, and for Filipino professionals in the CBD, it is the easiest place in the country to get properly tested and treated.
This page covers the listed providers, telehealth options, labs and costs.

Clinic
Pulse Clinic Makati
Makati, Metro Manila (also has Clark and Cebu branches)
Men's health clinic chain with a TRT program, testosterone testing and follow-up monitoring.
Does not publish TRT program prices online. One patient reported a vial price on r/FTMPhilippines.
Hospital-based endocrinologists and urologists are the other main route. The large private hospitals serving Makati and BGC all have outpatient specialists, and that is often the better choice if you have diabetes, heart disease, sleep apnoea or a prostate history, or if your HMO covers the consult. Expect longer waits than at a private clinic.
Telehealth options
If traffic on EDSA or C5 makes a mid-week clinic visit unrealistic, telehealth is a reasonable alternative. You consult online, take a lab request to a branch near your home or office, and review results by video call. Prescriptions are filled by a licensed pharmacy, sometimes with delivery.

Labs in Makati and BGC
Testing is where Makati and BGC really stand out. Almost every lab chain has a branch within walking distance of the main office towers, and many open early enough for a pre-work blood draw.
Where to test
- Hi-Precision Diagnostics has branches across Metro Manila, including Makati. A total testosterone test booked through Hati Health is listed at $27.
- Healthway has lab branches in malls and office buildings around Makati and BGC. Prices vary by branch, so call ahead.
- Ashrey Makati: total testosterone, from $20.
- Medicard's July 2026 rate card lists total testosterone at $39 for walk-in patients, or $30 for cardholders.
| Item | Provider | Price |
|---|---|---|
| Total testosterone | Hi-Precision (booked via Hati Health) | $27 |
| Total testosterone | Ashrey Makati | from $20 |
| Total testosterone | Medicard (non-member) | $39 |
What to test
For a first workup, doctors usually order more than total testosterone. A typical panel includes LH, FSH, prolactin, a full blood count, PSA and sometimes estradiol and lipids. The full list, with prices, is on our testosterone test price guide. Free testosterone is expensive at most labs; a calculated free testosterone from total testosterone, SHBG and albumin is a cheaper alternative your doctor may accept.

Book a morning draw, ideally before 10 am, because testosterone is highest early in the day. If you work night shifts, as many in the BPO towers along Ayala and in BGC do, tell your doctor: shift work and short sleep can lower testosterone, and the timing of the test may need to fit your schedule. Guidelines call for two separate early-morning tests below the lab's range, plus symptoms, before a diagnosis of low testosterone.
A first visit, step by step
For a man in Makati or BGC who has never been tested, the usual sequence is:
- Book a consult with an endocrinologist, urologist or men's health doctor, in person or by telehealth. Describe your symptoms: tiredness, low libido, weaker erections, low mood, poor recovery from training.
- Get the lab request. Most doctors will ask for total testosterone plus a basic panel.
- Have blood drawn in the morning at a lab near home or the office. Many people do this before work.
- Repeat total testosterone on a different morning if the first result is low or borderline.
- Review results with the doctor. If both readings are low and the symptoms fit, the doctor will look for a cause and discuss whether treatment makes sense, including the effect on fertility.
- Start treatment and book follow-up labs, usually a few months in, then periodically.
If your results are normal, the doctor will usually look at other explanations: sleep, weight, stress, thyroid, medicines or mood. Our guide on how to increase testosterone covers the lifestyle side. Long hours at a desk, late dinners, little sleep and a daily commute that eats into exercise time are common in the CBD, and fixing them can move your numbers more than people expect. A normal result is good news, not a dead end.
Choosing a location that fits your week
The biggest practical factor in Makati and BGC is travel time. A clinic ten minutes from your office is worth more than a cheaper one across EDSA, because follow-up labs and visits are part of the treatment for as long as you are on it. If you live in the south or in Ortigas and work in BGC, choose a lab and clinic near either end of your commute, or use telehealth for consults and a lab near home for blood draws.
Forms available
Pharmacies in Makati and BGC can dispense the registered forms, though stock varies by branch: generic testosterone enanthate (a shorter-acting injection given more often), testosterone undecanoate (Nebido), a long-acting injection given at clinic visits months apart, and testosterone gel (AndroGel).
Testosterone cypionate and the testosterone esters blend (Sustanon) are a different matter: their registration is not yet confirmed on the FDA Philippines verification portal. If you are arriving from the US, UK or Australia on one of those, read continuing TRT after moving to the Philippines before your stock runs low.
Costs
The medication is the cheap part. Consults and labs are where the money goes. A specialist consult in Metro Manila typically costs $25 to $75. Add an initial panel, follow-up labs a few times a year, and the medication.
If you have an HMO card through your employer, check whether it covers a specialist consult and the lab panel. Many do, at least in part, though most do not cover the medicine. The full line-by-line breakdown is in how much TRT costs in the Philippines.
For expats
Clinics and hospitals in Makati and BGC see foreign patients every day, consults are in English, and records are issued in English. A few points specific to expats:
- Bring your records. Original diagnostic labs, recent labs, your current prescription and a letter from your doctor.
- Expect a local prescription. Testosterone is a prescription medicine in the Philippines, and pharmacies fill prescriptions from Philippine-licensed doctors.
- Prices show in US dollars by default on this page, at a fixed display rate. Use the toggle to switch to pesos.
- US veterans: the VA Foreign Medical Program covers service-connected conditions only. See our guide for expats and retirees for details.
Red flags
Even in the CBD, there are sellers offering "TRT" without a doctor: Instagram pages, gym contacts and websites selling vials and oral tablets. They are not TRT providers. Check any product on the FDA verification portal, and read TRT vs steroids for why it matters.
A legitimate provider will always give you a named, licensed doctor, test before treating, and dispense a registered product through a licensed pharmacy.
Beyond Makati and BGC
If you live elsewhere in Metro Manila, there are listed providers in Pasig and other cities, plus nationwide telehealth. See where to get TRT in the Philippines for the full directory.
